I was disappointed to find out that I was definitely the last member of 2Xclusive to find out about Ryan Leslie. When I first heard about him was about 2 months back now and ever since I’ve been going on and on about how great and talented he is. I got hold of his album and it was definitely something special.
However over the weekend I got hold of Raheem DeVaughns album ‘The Love and War Masterpeace’. Now it’s not often that I get an Album that I can listen to from start to finish without skipping a tune but this is unstoppable. Nobody or nothing can get through to me while I’m locked into this. I find myself totally zoning out to the Soulfull beats and mesmerizing lyrics.
An album which boasts features from the likes of Wale, Malik Yusef, Damien Marley and Ludacris is already looking like a must have. However the tracks that Raheem DeVaughn has created completely take this album to another level. I am a huge lover of RnB and have listened to many albums in my time but this one is DEFINITELY up there with the very best of them.
